Additional performance at the French Library in Boston, details coming soon!

In “Brushstrokes”, the members of Arpeggione will explore the relationship between visual art and sound. Can music be expressed in color and line? Can painting be translated into sound? How can we make concerts accessible for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, through exploring this relationship between the arts? How can hearing audiences and musicians experience more deeply what we take for granted?

We will collaborate with both deaf and hearing visual artists, featuring live art alongside musical performances. We are working closely with staff and students at the Children’s Center for Communication/Beverly School for the Deaf, where we will present an outreach performance.

Arpeggione’s season finale will be an epic reimagining of a 19th century musical garden party. “The Eroica Project” will feature the North American premiere of Carl Friedrich Eber’s 1817 arrangement of Beethoven’s revolutionary Third Symphony, for five wind players and string quartet. Classical at the Cabot

Arpeggione performs in Historic Beverly’s inaugural Chamber Music Festival

Viennese composers such as Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven experimented with musical forms and techniques to move music in a new direction from the mid-eighteenth to the early nineteenth centuries. Arpeggione Ensemble graces the period-appropriate c. 1781 Cabot House with a historically informed performance of works by these musical giants and their Parisian contemporaries.
